We woke up at 5am and were out to the dining area by 5:30. The children had been hard at work for at least an hour cleaning and doing chores. A few passed by and greeted us with open arms; they take the “of love” part of the name seriously. The trickle of kids became a flood, with everyone wearing their best school uniform. Each one did the rounds and started gathering at the bus, or dashing off to find something they had forgotten.

In a moment everyone was ready, and we had forgotten all about the shoes. Fortunately someone was looking for something in the chapel and discovered the shoes! We wrestled them into the back of the bus, and were ready to start again.
