Atlanta team arrives in Honduras!

Hola!
Mary Ivon, Jill, Mallory and John have arrived in San Pedro Sula!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the rest of the group, to head to La Paz. Kevin greeted us and helped us begin to load the bus.

We are getting excited to see los ninos!

Keep praying for this week to be special!

Heading to Honduras!

They are packed and ready to go.   Pay for them as they share the live of Jesus in word and deed this week.

On our way!

The Atlanta group left on time and the Orlando group only boarded fifty minutes late for Miami. Hope to be taking off in a minute. We Love you all, we'll post again when we got to the Foundation. Hasta luego!

No Dinner Dinner

The foundation has held a dinner each year to raise funds to support the home in Honduras.  The dollars cover the cost of staff, utilities, food, school supplies, etc.

We were unable to find a venue this year to hold the dinner.  So we would like to ask you to support the foundation with a simple one time donation of any amount.

(Please use the Paypal link on the website.)

Thank you for continuing to provide a home for the children.

The Children of Love Foundation is a Christ-centered, non-profit, completely volunteer organization serving children in Central Florida and Honduras.

The Children of Love Foundation partners with St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Oviedo, FL. Members of St. Luke’s have been working at our orphanage in La Paz since 2006 as a part of their mission outreach.

Eight large boxes of shoes are in the final stages of packing and getting ready to ship to La Paz Honduras.  The team of 16 has met twice to get ready for the trip.  If you still would like to help, please pray for the trip or make a monetary donation to help fund additional needs at the foundation.  (A Paypal link is available on the right or at the web site.

Watch here for more details.  Our team leaves on November 17.  (A setup team is traveling to La Paz on October 17 to work with the children and make some initial preparations.)

Shoes are being collected.  Stop by St. Luke's if you need a 'foot'!

Thank you to Walgreen's for once again sponsoring shoe drives.

Fifteen members of St. Luke's are signed up and ready to head down over Thanksgiving week to serve the community of La Paz.  Pray for them as they prepare.

September Mission Trip

September Trip:

All of the children at the foundation work very hard, go to school, pray several times a day together and need some help.  While I was down there, Mama Doris got her first Social Security check as a retiree and will be able to spend more of her time at the Foundation.  What I found sad was that there are very few sponsors who are giving a regular monthly gift.  Please consider sponsoring one of the children or even giving a one time donation.  The Foundation is a place where any and all of the members of St. Luke’s are welcome to come visit as part of a mission trip or just a personal trip.  The trip for me was cleansing for my soul.  I read my Bible more than I ever have.  I came back to Florida so rich with God’s purpose for my life. The Children of Love Foundation is just waiting for any love and attention that we can give.

I guess it was Pastor Arp’s sermon that got me so involved and passionate.  One Sunday, He said it with such intensity “Just get involved” by participating in more than just church every Sunday.  He said “Try our Bible classes” or “Get involved with our mission trips” or help out with “Trick or Treat” or “From Everywhere to Bethlehem.” “Is it too much to do  to give just a little more for our God, when God has given us the most wonderful gift of all, His Son, Jesus Christ and the gift of eternal life.  Please help the Children of Love Foundation

With much love and hope - please listen to the Word and live out with joy the salvation God has given us as His children.  Thank you.
