Sunday Prayer Request

Sunday, March 7^th

Today we are traveling to La Paz, Honduras.  We left the church parking lot at 6:45 this morning, and should be arriving at the Children of Love Foundation at about 8:00 P.M. We will be tired, but also excited about what is ahead. Please pray for our save travel as we embark and that the Lord would work through us to be examples of His love. Also, please pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts of the people we encounter in Honduras, to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

March Trip - Agenda

With a heart towards spreading the Gospel message of Jesus Christ into all the world, 13 members of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church will be spending this week on a mission trip to the children’s home in La Paz, Honduras, called the Children of Love Foundation.
o We will be involving the children at the Foundation in an outreach effort to their local community of La Paz. We will provide a week long Bible School program of activities, Bible stories, songs, and meals to the neighborhood children.
o In addition to this, we will be reaching out with gifts and the love of Jesus to patients at the hospital in La Paz.
o We will also be meeting with representatives of LCMS World Missions to continue the discussion about a possible mission congregation in La Paz.

Please keep us and the children of La Paz in your prayers each day this week. Also, you can follow our progress here on the blog.

SUNDAY, March 7 – 9:05 A.M departure from MCO

         Arrive SAP @ 3:05 p.m., 3 hour drive to La Paz, BBQ and Dance

MONDAY, March 8–Work Day

AM: breakfast, visit school & give school supplies, invite children to attend VBS

Preparations for VBS

Afternoon: visit Coffee Land

6:00—Dinner

Evening: roast marshmellows & hot chocolate

7:00 - Team Bible study in the chapel

8:00 - Evening Prayer with children and “good nights” :)

TUESDAY, March 9– Work Day

6 AM: Wake up

7 AM: Walk kids to school

8:30 AM: Breakfast

9am-11am VBS Older Kids:  Jesus, the Son of God

11am—serve lunch to the children

1pm—serve lunch to second group of children

1:30-3:30 VBS Younger Kids: Jesus, the Son of God
6:00—Dinner

Evening: late night walk to the city with the kids

7:00-Team Bible study in the chapel

8:00—Evening Prayer with children and good night hugs :)

WEDNESDAY, March 10

6 AM: Wake up

7 AM: Walk kids to school

8:30 AM: Breakfast

9am-11am VBS Older Kids:  The Lost is Found

11am—serve lunch to the children

Evening:  Celebrate Father's Day with the CLF kids & with La Paz Mayor and Palmerola officer

SUNDAY, March 14 –

      Morning goodbyes – three hour drive to SAP airport 3:10 pm Departure
      Arrive 10:25 p.m. @ MCO

March Mission Trip

The next trip for St. Luke's is a group of college students who will be leaving on Sunday, March 7.  They will be leading VBS for the week.  Watch here for details of the trip.
